A dance performance about the human need for closeness

What makes a person feel safe? How do we embrace without suffocation? How do we challenge without consuming? What experiences do we carry with us through life and how do they affect how we are and respond to our surroundings?

Hold Me is a dance project that explores issues of coexistence, security and the different needs we have to be able to develop healthy relationships to ourselves and others. Initiator and choreographer Anna Vilhelmine Wallin together with dancer Yrsa Heijkenskjöld, and dramaturg Sally O’Neil create a portrait of the inner child's longing and expectation. A trio between two dancers and a giant blanket examines how we reflect on each other and how it shapes who we are and dare to be. Together they scratch the surface and approach a vulnerable place, where the rational gets lost as dreams and desires take over.
